What\u2019s CLIR you ask? Created by the University of California Berkeley Extension SF, CLIR (Center for Learning in Retirement) provides a venue for those in the Bay Area over 50 who enjoy new learning and social opportunities.\u00a0 CLIR offers educational, cultural, social program.\u00a0 For more info and to join:\u00a0 clirsf.org.<\/p>\n
To return to our story on change. \u00a0It\u2019s close to 1PM and Alice Steele (photographer, collective member of AWE Gallery, and CLIR enthusiast) has joined Bonnie, Gene, and me.\u00a0 The CLIR show has been struck; the walls are bare. \u00a0We quip what we have before us is a most minimal art.<\/p>\n
As with change, the walls won\u2019t be minimal for long. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0From April 6 \u2013 28, 2013, photographer extraordinaire, Roxanne Worthington presents Zaubermarchen\/Tales of Magic.\u00a0Opening reception:\u00a0 Sunday, April 7, 2013\u00a0 1pm \u2013 4 pm. \u00a0Poetry reading:\u00a0 Sunday, April 14, 2013 beginning at 2 PM.\u00a0Check out the AWE Gallery Events for details.<\/p>\n
A final comment on change.\u00a0 While the main gallery at AWE always showcases the collective artists \u2013 Stacy Boorn, Alice Steele,Chris Kibre, Janet Stock, and Susan Black, you can stop in any Saturday or Sunday (noon \u2013 5 PM) and glimpse new work by these \u00a0fine artists. \u00a0Yup, change is the constant.<\/p>\n
